Overview

QuickQR is designed with privacy in mind. The extension’s single purpose is to generate QR codes from the current page URL, clicked links, highlighted text, or manually entered text. All processing occurs locally in your browser. QuickQR does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data.

How QuickQR Works

When you use QuickQR, the QR code is generated directly in your browser using the input you provide (e.g., the active tab URL, a clicked link, or selected text). This information is not sent to any server. If you choose to copy the QR image or associated text, it is written to your clipboard using the standard clipboardWrite capability.

Permissions

QuickQR requests only the minimum permissions necessary to fulfill its single purpose.

Remote Code

QuickQR does not use remote code. All JavaScript, assets, and logic are packaged within the extension; no externally hosted scripts are executed.

Third‑Party Sharing

QuickQR does not share data with third parties. No analytics, trackers, or advertising networks are used.

Children’s Privacy

QuickQR does not target children and does not collect personal information from any users.
